Negative taken for April 6, 1961, Arkansas Gazette article "Johnson County's 'Doc' Is Still Going After 50 Years," B1:2. Dr. George L. Hardgrave has practiced medicine in Clarksville, Johnson County, Arkansas for 50 years. When he started his practice he would visit patients on horseback. Later he switched to the Model T Ford and wore out thirteen of them on the hilly terrain of Johnson County. Dr. Hardgrave was a 1911 graduate of the University of Arkansas medical college in Little Rock, Pulaski County, Arkansas.
